Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026 · Last updated September 18, 2026

This policy explains how PageRecord (the website, mobile app, and cloud monitoring service) handles personal data: what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

We do not sell personal data, show ads, use analytics tracking, or use your data to train AI models.

1. Data we process

  • Early access: your email address, confirmation status, and consent to receive early-access and launch messages if you join the wait list.
  • Account: email address, sign-in method (password, Apple, or Google), security settings such as multifactor authentication, and the legal documents you accepted.
  • Trackers: the pages, values, schedules, and notification rules you configure, and the results and changes found by each check.
  • Plan: your plan and credit balance.
  • Notifications: notification content and status and, only if you enable push notifications, a device push token.
  • Technical and security data: request logs, including IP addresses, used to run and protect the Service.
  • Support: messages you send us.

An email address is required to join early access or create an account. Joining the wait list does not create a PageRecord account. Everything else depends on the features you use.

2. Monitored pages and your device

  • Pages are fetched and processed temporarily to read the values you selected. We keep the extracted values and check results, not a copy of the page. A fetched page may be held briefly in a short-lived cache to avoid repeated requests.
  • When you preview or check a page on your device, your device connects directly to that website, which may receive your IP address and apply its own privacy policy. Scheduled cloud checks are made from our servers instead.
  • The app stores your trackers and results on your device so it works offline. It may read your clipboard to offer pasting a link or verification code; clipboard content stays on your device unless you use it.
  • Monitor only public pages that contain no sensitive personal data. We do not use page content for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Performing our contract with you: providing your account, trackers, sync, history, notifications, exports, and support.
  • Legitimate interests: keeping the Service secure, preventing abuse and fraud, fixing problems, and handling legal claims.
  • Legal obligations: complying with applicable law and valid requests from authorities.
  • Consent: early-access and launch emails if you join the wait list, and push notifications if you enable them. You can withdraw either consent at any time.

We do not send marketing messages unless you separately join the early-access list. No decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made about you solely by automated means.

4. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service (hosting, website delivery and bot protection, email delivery, and push notifications), when required by law, or to protect people or the Service. Apple and Google process sign-in under their own policies.

5. International transfers

We operate from Morocco, and our providers may process data in other countries. Transfers are made with the safeguards required by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses, and after the required formalities with Morocco's data-protection authority (CNDP).

6. Retention

  • Confirmed early-access sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or 90 days after the public launch, whichever happens first.
  • Account data and trackers: while your account is open.
  • Check and change history: 7 days.
  • Notifications: up to 90 days.
  • Items you delete: removed from our servers within 30 days.
  • Technical and security logs: up to 90 days, unless needed for an ongoing investigation or legal claim. Records of administrative actions taken on accounts are kept as long as needed for security and accountability.
  • Backups: expire on our providers' regular backup cycle and are not used for anything else.

7. Export and deletion

You can export your data or delete your account in the app. Deletion blocks the account immediately and permanently erases your data without undue delay.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. Use the in-app controls or email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the time required by law.

You may also complain to the CNDP in Morocco or to your local data-protection authority.

10. Children

PageRecord is only for people aged 18 or older. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We will announce material changes by email or in the app before they take effect. Previous versions remain available in the archive.
